Autism Sibs Universe (ASU) is a nonprofit providing 245D basic & intensive services in a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed setting. We’re hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who want to make a real difference supporting autistic adults with person-centered care.
What you’ll do
Support daily living skills and community outings
Implement person-centered and behavior support plans
Facilitate sensory/play/art activities
Provide transportation for activities (mileage/logs as applicable)
Maintain documentation (program data, health info, daily logs)
Follow safety protocols and assist with crisis prevention/intervention
Rotate between houses as needed
Schedule
PT and FT options; some evenings/holidays; inclement weather coverage as needed
Minimum requirements
Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ year relevant experience (DSP, PCA, caregiver, autism support, or similar)
Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs and assist with personal care
Pass a state-required background study (Minnesota DHS; 245D compliant)
